Jardim dos Frangos Cascais
Charcoal-grilled Portuguese comfort in Cascais.
The House Story
At Jardim dos Frangos Cascais, the grill is the heart of the house. Half chickens are marinated and charred over coals, whether the classic churrasco or the garlicky 'Al Ajillo'. The kitchen also honours a bife à Jardim dos Frangos, a steak prepared the house way, and Preguinhos da Irene, little pork bites that carry a personal touch. For those craving comfort, Bacalhau com Natas brings a creamy salted cod gratin, while a Dourada Grelhada no Carvão offers a lighter, smoky choice. Each plate is served with the warmth of a family table, where Portuguese grill traditions meet simple, honest cooking. It's a home in the middle of Cascais, sharing the flavours that have always been loved.

Jardim dos Frangos was Recommended by our guide while visiting Cascais, and it turned out to be such a good choice. I ordered the octopus and it was cooked perfectly. flavorful, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The portions were generous, the prices were affordable, and the overall food quality was really impressive. The staff were warm and helpful, and they even kindly let me charge my phone after my power bank ran out, which I truly appreciated. Small gestures like that make a place even more memorable. Just a heads-up - this is a cash-only restaurant. Definitely a spot worth visiting in Cascais.
Came here one year ago today with my girlfriend and our friend. We got the preguinho do pão (steak sandwich) and fries, grilled chicken (we put lots of piri-piri sauce on it), grilled prawns (shrimp), and the fish and rice. Everything was absolutely delicious and we still think about it to this day. Recommend this place if you're travelling to Cascais.
We ordered grilled seabass and a creamy cheesy cod fish. Seabass is very fresh and delicious. Cod fish good portion. Friendly service. We were lucky to have seat outside with great weather.
