Jardim dos Frangos Cascais
Authentic Portuguese grilled chicken and seafood in Cascais.
The House Story
Jardim dos Frangos Cascais brings the warmth of Portuguese grilling to the heart of Cascais. The kitchen centers around their signature charcoal-grilled chicken, served both in the classic churrasco style and with the bold garlic flavors of al ajillo. Beyond the flame, they prepare comfort dishes that feel like home—tender Bacalhau com Natas, the beloved Portuguese salt cod baked in creamy layers, and Bife à Jardim dos Frangos, their own take on a hearty steak. Preguinhos da Irene offers a taste of tradition, while the Dourada Grelhada no Carvão showcases the simple beauty of fresh sea bream, grilled over charcoal until the skin crisps and the flesh turns tender. Each dish carries the honest flavors of Portuguese cooking, prepared with care and served with pride.

Jardim dos Frangos was Recommended by our guide while visiting Cascais, and it turned out to be such a good choice. I ordered the octopus and it was cooked perfectly. flavorful, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The portions were generous, the prices were affordable, and the overall food quality was really impressive. The staff were warm and helpful, and they even kindly let me charge my phone after my power bank ran out, which I truly appreciated. Small gestures like that make a place even more memorable. Just a heads-up - this is a cash-only restaurant. Definitely a spot worth visiting in Cascais.
Came here one year ago today with my girlfriend and our friend. We got the preguinho do pão (steak sandwich) and fries, grilled chicken (we put lots of piri-piri sauce on it), grilled prawns (shrimp), and the fish and rice. Everything was absolutely delicious and we still think about it to this day. Recommend this place if you're travelling to Cascais.
We ordered grilled seabass and a creamy cheesy cod fish. Seabass is very fresh and delicious. Cod fish good portion. Friendly service. We were lucky to have seat outside with great weather.
